Privacy Policy

This site is run by SerpentSkin Tattoo Collective (New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada) for the Academic Drawing Course, taught by Anastasia Strazhnikova. Only what you type into the booking form:

• your first and last name, phone number and email address;
• what you asked for (a spot or a consultation) and the plan you chose;
• whether you would like occasional news about courses (optional, off by default);
• the date and time you agreed to this policy.

We do not take payments on this site and never ask for card details here. The site has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Your browser remembers only that you closed the privacy notice. Like any web server, ours briefly keeps technical logs (IP address, browser type) to keep the site secure and working.

• to answer your request, arrange your place or consultation and send you the next steps and payment details;
• to send you news about future courses and workshops — only if you ticked that box. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any message or writing to us.

We collect this information with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form before sending it, in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). You can withdraw your consent at any time; we will then stop contacting you and delete your details unless we must keep them by law.

Your request is sent by email from this site straight to our studio inbox and is seen only by our team: Anastasia and the SerpentSkin studio staff who answer enquiries. The website itself does not keep a copy of your request. Our inbox is hosted by Google (Gmail), which may process data outside Canada, for example in the United States.

We never sell your information and never share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We keep a request for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then we delete it. If you join the course, we keep what we need to run it for as long as you are enrolled. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Requests are not kept on the website: they go straight to our password-protected inbox, and access is restricted to the people who need it.

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent. Write to Serpentskintattoocollective@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

If we change this policy, we will update the date below. The version you agreed to is recorded with your request.
